How Fictional Goods uses your information.
Good Feels, Inc., at 23 Jayar Rd., Suite 6, Medway, MA 02053, operates Fictional Goods. We collect the minimum account, profile, application, and inquiry information needed to run the marketplace. We do not sell this data or require analytics consent to use the site.
What we collect
When Fictional Goods creates a private creator invitation, we store an internal recipient label, a one-way hash of the secret link token, issue and expiry times, status, and—after use—the site-specific member ID that redeemed it. When you create a membership, the identity provider supplies a stable user ID for this site, your email, and an optional display name. We store your chosen role, organization, Terms version, and acceptance time. We do not receive your identity-provider password. Creator profiles store the visible profile fields, channel links, creator-uploaded portfolio stills, starting price, revision scope, product-placement and commissioned-work availability, and publication-review status. Brand inquiries store the brand organization, account email, selected creator, opportunity type, product, brief, budget band, timing, and status. Inquiry threads store the messages each participant sends, read timestamps, and any attached JPG, PNG, WebP, or PDF file name, type, size, private storage key, and bytes. Block records store the blocking member, blocked account or organization, related thread, and block or unblock time. Reports store the reporter, subject, selected message or attachment, reason, details, status, admin decisions, audit events, and one optional appeal. Completed-job reviews store the reviewer and subject IDs, role, rating, selected tags, optional comment, and time. The separate no-account form is only for creator waitlist applications and collects the contact and production details shown there.
Admin sign-in stores a one-way hash of a short-lived email-link token, a privacy-minimized request hash, session timing, and a one-way hash of the session token. The raw token stays in the link or secure browser cookie and is not stored in the database. Transactional email delivery records store the recipient, alert type, bounded message data, retry status, provider receipt, and sanitized error for up to 90 days after delivery or cancellation by default.
Why we use it
We use the information to validate and redeem private invitations, authenticate access, keep creator drafts private, review publication, show approved profiles to brand members and public profile visitors, prevent abuse, route product-placement and commissioned-video inquiries, deliver and retry message and review alerts, remind members about unread messages and open review windows, process blocks, reports, and appeals, preserve the marketplace conversation, publish eligible creator ratings, help each side judge a potential partner, and—only if both sides choose to proceed—prepare a deal card and campaign record. If platform payments launch, this notice will be updated before payment data is collected.
What submission does not do
A membership creates an account workspace but does not accept a campaign, authorize payment, or sign a brand-creator agreement. A creator waitlist application creates no membership. Application details, creator drafts, and owner previews stay private unless a creator separately opts into a public profile, Fictional Goods accepts that profile for publication, and the founding roster is open.
Public creator profiles
An accepted creator who opts in may have a public profile showing only the creator, channel, or studio name; series description; public portfolio, Instagram, TikTok, and featured-video links; creator-uploaded work-sample stills; platforms; creator-supplied recent median views; starting price; included revisions; placement interests; whether they accept product-placement or commissioned-video inquiries; and the average rating and review count from eligible completed jobs. Contact names, email addresses, publishing cadence, AI workflow details, follower count, breakout performance, audience Insights, rights-readiness answers, message content, written reviews, creator reviews of brands, and private reviewer notes are not published. A creator can request correction or removal at any time.
Sharing and retention
Account, profile, inquiry, message, attachment, read-state, report, block, review, and application data is limited to the participant who supplied it, the other participant when the feature requires it, authorized reviewers, and service providers needed for identity, secure hosting, media storage, transactional email, error monitoring, and operations. Private account email addresses are not shown to the other participant. Message alerts contain a sign-in link instead of the other person’s email address. Reviews remain double-blind until both sides submit or the review window closes; eligible rating averages and counts may then be public, but written reviews stay inside the private job record. Application records are deleted no later than 180 days after submission unless a later written agreement or legal obligation requires a different period. Unredeemed invitation records that expire or are revoked are pruned no later than 180 days after expiry; a redeemed invitation is de-identified if the related account is deleted. Active memberships, approved profiles, consent records, uploaded profile media, inquiry threads, attachments, safety records, and completed-job reviews remain while needed to provide the requested service and preserve marketplace trust; a verified deletion request closes the membership and removes data not needed for an active agreement, message record, report, appeal, dispute, fraud-prevention need, audit need, or legal obligation. A self-service request with one of those records is sent to the privacy contact for assisted review. We keep a pseudonymous numeric rating, participant role, and timing after account deletion so completed-job reputation cannot be reset by reopening the same account. This record excludes names, email, company, comments, tags, raw account IDs, and raw job IDs. Admin sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and sessions expire after 12 hours. Application confirmation links expire after 48 hours. Privacy-minimized abuse hashes and non-personal deletion receipts are retained only for security and audit needs.
Analytics and automated decisions
Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics.” Advertising storage and personalization are disabled. Privacy-minimized Sentry error monitoring may process technical error details needed to keep the service reliable; replay, profiling, advertising, user identity, and default personal-data collection are disabled. Fit signals may help organize review, but no automated score accepts, rejects, prices, or legally binds an applicant.
Your choices
Do not submit information about another person without permission. A creator may edit a private draft and can request unpublication at any time. To request access, correction, account closure, or deletion, email hello@fictionalgoods.com. We may need to verify the request before acting.
